Fish farming, or Aquaculture, is a complex process. Naviaq faced a specific challenge – to ensure harvested fish are not harmed in containers, either due to injuries or the heightened risk of parasites.
Naviaq aimed to solve problems and elevate standards in Aquaculture by harnessing the power of digital systems. With a multitude of complex processes involved in fish farming, ranging from shipping to equipment maintenance, the concept presented a significant challenge.
However, despite this complexity, the collaboration between ALLWIN and Naviaq has resulted in an integrated platform that is delivering substantial benefits to all industry partners. With this new approach to operational management, the industry is benefiting from improvements to data monitoring, order management, equipment tracking and reporting.
By focusing on the development of real-time reporting systems, ALLWIN streamlined processes using new order workflows and vessel tracking. With this new approach to operational management, the industry is benefitting from improvements to data monitoring, order management, equipment tracking and reporting.
Building on the latest technologies of the web ALLWIN developed a Progressive Web Application
to provide a mobile friendly solution to help users accomplish their everyday tasks easier.
By applying a consultative and developmental approach, the result is a new platform built on.
ALLWIN re-implemented a more consistent system intelligence for Naviaq using ASP.NET Core technology. Where previous systems used Silverlight, we created an AngularJS SPA (Single Page Application) solution that improved user experience, increased agility and offered simplified navigation.
Several other features were developed from this framework:
Working in cooperation with partners we implemented an integration to a cloud based integration platform to automate we created a flexible foundation for third-party integrations to grow and scale in alignment with Naviaq’s ambitions.
We leveraged a Geographic information system (GIS) platform to prevent ships from entering polluted or disease infected waters, avoiding the risk of infecting live fish on transport
By accessing the system through an Angular Progressive Web Application, users gain a native- like experience on any mobile device.
The Angular PWA allows access from any screen and enables offline use.
What’s more, functionality has improved with easier viewing, searching and filtering of information.
As one of our key partners, Naviaq continues to pioneer new digital approaches in Aquaculture, revolutionizing the industry. We have assembled a dedicated, long-term team of developers who collaborate closely with Naviaq to drive continuous improvement and refinement.
As a result of the partnership, we have enabled more accurate vessel tracking, real-time updates on equipment and container conditions and better streamlined workflows. All of these efforts are contributing to providing the fish farming industry with enhanced operational control and continuous improvement.
We are available for new projects.
